HDB resale costs are currently inching closer to the peak price in 2Q2013, observes Christine Sun, senior vice president of analytics and research in OrangeTee & Tie. Prices last quarter proved only 5% lower than the maximum price listed in 2Q2013, she adds. “At the present rate of price increase, a new summit might be shaped by the second half of the year.”

The Watergardens at Canberra showflat is well connected to Sembawang Road and Seletar Expressway and sits within a walking distance from Canberra MRT station.

In 1Q2021, average costs climbed q-o-q at 22 of the 26 cities, Sun highlights, dependent on HDB statistics as at March 31.

She predicts that 2021 will see that a new set amount of million-dollar level earnings, exceeding last year’s cumulative total of 82 units. Last year, 53 resale apartments changed hands for $1 million, marking the greatest annual earnings of million-dollar apartments on record since 1990.

“Growing apartment costs usually bode well for vendors because it’s currently more favourable for many apartments owners to ascend the property ladder. Seller expectations might continue to grow in the forthcoming months and some may ask for higher costs,” says Sun.

“requirement for resale apartments is predicted to stay strong and a few places are seeing with a supply deficit,” she notes, adding that”in light of their strong demand, costs of resale apartments have been expected to trend higher this season”.
